Interwave Studios was formed to produce high quality community projects for the Source community. Gathering talent, ideas and coding genius from all corners of the world, Interwave’s first projects were successful anti-cheat solutions, advanced statistics and management plugins for online servers, and their first game: a Stargate total conversion, which to this date is the only licensed mod of its kind.
Around this time, the team came across the all-but-deceased concept for Nuclear Dawn, an FPS/RTS hybrid set in a post-apocalyptic world. The concept grew in Interwave’s collective imaginations until it quite literally became every member’s passion, and after a few agreements with the original team, Interwave started development from scratch on their own take on the Nuclear Dawn concept and game world.
These days, Interwave headquarters is in the Netherlands, in the bosom of Techconnect’s own head office. Its members are still scattered all over the world, from the UK and US to other, far weirder countries.
Interwave’s manifesto, motto and creed is that we’re making the games that we wished we could have been playing all these years, as avid gamers of many platforms and genres. We’re never going to produce anything that we wouldn’t play ourselves, and that’s a quality guarantee, since some of us are picky, crotchety old things.
Our first commercial project, Nuclear Dawn, is due to be released sometimes towards the end of 2010. Any information, details or PR material can be requested through our contact page, and full information on our games is in the projects section.
